Visual requirement of roll
- Roll surface shall free from defects.
- Casting defects seen with naked eyes are not allowed on the surface of the roll.
- The roll with casting defects on the surface of non-working area,if not affecting usage,can be negotiated with purchaser for delivery.
- Casting defects like discontinuous sand hole,air hole or porosity existing at the edges of roll,surface of journals,plum head,flat head,shaft of operator side,shall be repaired,the roughness after repairing shall conform to drawing requirement.
